May I suggest animesuki.com and searching filter “slice of life” or even myanimelist.com (possibly .net?) or anime-planet.com. I have found so many new anime through those sites.
Well that’s a nice list but you didn’t mention if you actually LIKED those or not =P
My top recommendation is Kanon (2006 version, subbed not dubbed). It’s slice of life with a tiny bit of magic mixed in. It’s hilarious. And it’s such a cute, sweet story.
I recommend Skip Beat. It’s a romantic comedy.
Plot:
Kyoko Mogami is a 17-year-old girl who discovers her childhood friend, Sho Fuwa, who is an aspiring pop idol as well as the boy she loves, only keeps her around to act as a maid and earn money. Furious and heart broken, she vows to get revenge by beating him in show business.
Try Full Moon Wo Sagashite. It has 28 english dub episodes and 52 sub.
